Olidia Malaysia — PLLA Collagen Stimulation
Collagen stimulation is not just about the product.
It is about where the collagen is needed.
Olidia is a PLLA collagen stimulator now registered in Malaysia. At Agness Clinic, treatment is individually planned according to facial anatomy, tissue layer and the type of collagen or structural support required.

The Material
Olidia is not simply a filler.
Olidia is based on poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), combined with carboxymethylcellulose and mannitol.
After treatment, the carrier is gradually absorbed while PLLA particles remain within the tissue and stimulate a biological response associated with new collagen formation.

The Science Behind PLLA
The ingredient matters.
So does how it behaves in tissue.
PLLA treatments are influenced by more than the ingredient name alone. Particle characteristics, preparation, treatment depth, concentration and distribution can influence how a collagen stimulator behaves within the tissue.

Olidia vs Sculptra
Same family. Different treatment planning.
Olidia and Sculptra are both PLLA collagen stimulators. Rather than asking which brand is simply “better”, the more useful question is how the product, treatment layer, preparation, distribution and clinical objective fit the individual face.

Why Dr. CK uses Olidia
Olidia provides another option within Dr. CK’s collagen-stimulation approach. Product selection is based on facial anatomy, tissue quality, treatment objective and the type of support required — rather than brand popularity alone.
Learn about SculptraTreatment Planning
Different areas need different forms of support.
- 1
Temple / Lateral Face
For selected areas requiring restoration of tissue support or collagen stimulation.
- 2
Cheek / Side Cheek
For selected volume-deficient or collagen-deficient areas.
- 3
Facial Folds
May be considered as part of treatment planning for appropriate facial wrinkles and folds.
- 4
Lower Face
Selected cases may benefit from collagen stimulation or structural tissue support.
Treatment areas and injection depth must be medically assessed individually.
Olidia Results
Collagen takes time.
Stage 1
Treatment
PLLA suspension is placed within the selected treatment area.
Stage 2
Early phase
The carrier is gradually absorbed.
Stage 3
Collagen response
PLLA stimulates a progressive tissue response associated with collagen production.
Stage 4
Reassessment
Results develop gradually and treatment is reassessed according to the individual response.
Olidia is not designed to behave like an instant HA filler. Individual response varies.
Safety & Complications
PLLA is powerful.
Technique matters.
Papules and nodules are recognised potential complications of PLLA treatment. A palpable nodule is not automatically a granuloma. Preparation, dilution, injection depth, product distribution and technique may influence complication risk.
- Temporary swelling
- Bruising
- Tenderness
- Papules or palpable nodules
- Inflammatory reactions
- Rare vascular complications
Delayed nodules may occur after PLLA treatment, which is why appropriate patient selection, preparation, injection technique and follow-up are important.
Collagen stimulation should be controlled — not simply maximised.
The Injector
Olidia treatment planned and performed by Dr. CK.
Olidia is not injected according to a fixed template. Treatment begins by identifying where the face has lost support, where collagen stimulation may be useful and where additional treatment may not be necessary.
Every Olidia treatment at Agness Clinic is individually assessed and planned by Dr. CK. Where structural support or contouring is the priority, Ellansé or HA dermal filler may be considered instead.
Same product.
Different planning.
Different result.

Frequently asked questions about Olidia
What is Olidia?
Olidia is an injectable collagen stimulator based on poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Rather than filling instantly like a hyaluronic acid filler, it stimulates a gradual tissue response associated with new collagen formation.
Is Olidia available in Malaysia?
Yes. Olidia is available in Malaysia and is offered at Agness Clinic, Kota Damansara, following an individual medical consultation.
Is Olidia registered in Malaysia?
Yes. Olidia is registered with Malaysia’s Medical Device Authority as a sterile absorbable PLLA dermal filler.
What is Olidia made of?
Olidia is based on poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), combined with carboxymethylcellulose and mannitol. Exact formulation can differ between Olidia models; manufacturer information should be referred to for each product.
How does Olidia stimulate collagen?
After injection, the carrier is gradually absorbed while PLLA particles remain in the tissue. These particles trigger a biological response, including fibroblast activity, that is associated with progressive collagen formation.
Is Olidia a filler or a collagen stimulator?
Olidia is registered as an absorbable PLLA dermal filler, but its main clinical concept is collagen stimulation. It is not designed to behave like an instant HA filler.
What is the difference between Olidia and Sculptra?
Olidia and Sculptra are both PLLA collagen stimulators. Differences relate to formulation, preparation and product characteristics, while in practice treatment planning — area, layer and distribution — remains central for both.
Is Olidia better than Sculptra?
Both are PLLA collagen stimulators. The appropriate choice depends on treatment objectives, formulation, treatment planning, tissue characteristics and physician assessment. Neither is universally superior.
How long does Olidia take to work?
Collagen stimulation develops gradually. Any early fullness is largely related to the carrier and settles as it is absorbed; collagen-related change then develops progressively. The pace varies between individuals, so no fixed timeframe can be guaranteed.
How many Olidia sessions are needed?
Treatment frequency and number of sessions depend on individual anatomy, tissue condition, treatment objective and clinical response.
Can Olidia cause nodules?
Papules and nodules are recognised potential complications of PLLA treatment. A palpable nodule is not automatically a granuloma. Preparation, dilution, injection depth, distribution and technique may influence this risk, and follow-up is important.
Can Olidia cause granulomas?
Granulomatous reactions are distinct inflammatory reactions. They are recognised but uncommon complications of injectable PLLA and other biostimulatory treatments. Any persistent or changing lump should be medically assessed.
Can Olidia be used under the eyes?
The periorbital region is anatomically complex and requires particular caution. Treatment in or around the eye area should not be assumed appropriate simply because a product stimulates collagen. Suitability and treatment options should be assessed individually by the doctor and according to applicable product information.
How long does Olidia last?
Because Olidia relies on the body’s own collagen response, duration varies with age, tissue quality, treatment plan and individual biology. No fixed longevity can be guaranteed.
How much does Olidia cost in Malaysia?
Olidia treatment cost depends on the amount of product, treatment area and individual treatment plan. Please contact Agness Clinic for current pricing and consultation.

Olidia is a tool.
The treatment plan comes first.
A consultation begins with understanding facial anatomy, previous treatments, tissue quality and the areas where collagen stimulation may be useful. Treatment is then planned according to the individual face — not according to a fixed injection template.
